Overall Satisfaction with Klipfolio

As a digital marketing agency, our clients will continue to judge our contributions by the bottom line. But if you are a digital marketer, your contribution to the bottom line is nebulous at best. Right? So you, like us, need a way to measure and display these metrics in a way that proves success. You need a solution that can connect to more MarTech that you knew even existed and aggregate the data for easy consumption. Hello Klipfolio!

Klipfolio had the best API. We could connect more MarTech with Klipfolio than any other BI tool we used. Klipfolio's API was also the most stable. We ran into connectivity issues with some of the competitors. The metrics wouldn't refresh because the API lost the connection to the tool. Klipfolio's data aggregation capabilities were better than most. Combining data between different data sets was a big challenge we ran into with other BI tools. Klipfolio was able to bring multiple data sets together into one metric and allow us to aggregate all those data points into a useable metric. Klipfolio also has competitive pricing. The pricing allows us (as an agency) to roll some of the costs into our reporting offerings.
If your MarTech stack is unwieldy, then Klipfolio can help wield your data. We measure EVERYTHING here at Access Marketing Company, so that means I've got a dozen Chrome tabs open and I'm constantly cross-referencing my data. With Klipfolio, I can connect all these different sources and combine their data as I track leads through the funnel. I can set numeric goals in my metrics and monitor my progress daily. I can see a situation or two (or more, for sure) where Klipfolio is just too much. For example, a B2C that generates 80% of its sales through Facebook. The FB dashboard is all you would really need. Or maybe your company lives in the Google Suite. Data Studio (or maybe just straight Google Analytics) would suffice.

Evaluating Klipfolio and Competitors

Yes - We replaced Grow with Klipfolio in mid 2017.

We loved Grow. Our rep was awesome. Just great. The platform looked beautiful and people liked to read the reports (!!). But Grow suffered from too many connectivity issues and relied too much on SQL. At the end of the day, there was too much manual process in what should have been an automatic platform.

Klipfolio had the best and most stable API. Period. End of sentence. I start to sound a bit repetitive here, but connecting to our MarTech stack and aggregating the data was very important for us. Klipfolio's API allowed us to connect every piece of MarTech in our arsenal and create metrics.
I doubt we would do anything different. We've been happy with the product. I use it every day. We tried out a half-dozen or so different BI tools and Klipfolio had the features we needed and the price we wanted. If we had to do it all over again, I'm sure we'd end up with Klipfolio.
