Grow is used by MarketScale for all data visualization requirements, specifically KPI dashboards. These are deployed for every department and business unit at MarketScale, in addition to having a dashboard for each of our clients. Grow allows us to easily build and maintain KPI dashboards from hundreds of data sources, while making it easy for less-technical users to build metrics.
  • Scalability.
  • White-labeled option.
  • Ease of use.
  • Increase integration count, instead of scaling back.
  • Better support on specific API issues.
  • Continue advancing full dashboard filtering/grouping abilities.
Grow is an incredible tool for a business like us that requires hundreds of dashboards and thousands of users, each with specific and varying access requirements. Since we have ~150 client dashboards, each of those needs to be restricted with a 'View Only' permission for those specific client POCs. Similarly, we have ~50 internal dashboards that different employees/departments require access to, with varying levels of access.
Grow makes it incredibly easy to share a URL with our clients and have them easily access just their dashboard. Many other data visualization platforms have a per license payment structure, which just wouldn't work for us. With unlimited users from Grow, we are able to accomplish everything we need in terms of scalability.

Verified User is a great product for our company, as it allows us to create powerful visualizations from our data in an intuitive software that is not too difficult to use despite its complexity. We use it to host our own dashboards as well as those of our clients and it works for us without creating too much complexity across all of these.
  • The support team is awesome.
  • There are plenty of training resources online to be able to learn the software.
  • You can integrate with other platforms that are out there to be able to funnel your data into it.
  • Filters could be improved.
  • The price is pretty high compared to other options out there.
  • SQL options could be more powerful as well. is well suited if you have a lot of data or client data to manage. If you do not have tons of data, there are other options out there that are a bit more simple and easy to use and a better price.
The support team is awesome and very helpful. They respond quick[ly] and are willing to help at any moment.

Verified User is an excellent tool to assist companies in being able to aggregate and manage their data, as well as to develop new business strategies from this data. It helps our businesses be able to make informed decisions based off of data instead of gut decisions.
  • This tool is relative easy to customize.
  • The default tools for are very useful.
  • Managing the team and users are easy.
  • First getting everyone up to speed on the software can be a bit difficult and take some time.
  • There are not as many resources online for this software than others.
  • There are certain analytics that are missing. is well suited for most organizations because most do deal with data and analytics for making decisions. If you have a business that generates any sort of data, as most do, you should look into using this software depending on what you need to do with the data.
The support team is super helpful and can assist with any inquiries that you have. They are very helpful and very responsive and can assist with any problems that you have within the software.

Verified User is being used to manage our data and report on many different types of data. It helps our business make strategic decisions but spend less time aggregating and reporting on data so that we can be more productive. It helps us solve our business problems by driving decisions with data. It also helps us to visualize our data.
  • Visualize data.
  • Data migration.
  • Drag and drop.
  • Interface.

Verified User is used by my organization to help companies develop real-time insight into their company's data. It is used across the organization in an effort to help with coordination and to improve management [decision-making]. The software does a good job of making available visually appealing visuals in a way that all can understand.
  • is easier to customize than most other BI tools.
•'s default charts are well chosen.
  • is easy to manage and implement.
  • takes more effort to customize than other BI tools.
  • is not as well known, so self service set up is more difficult.
  • seems to be a little behind the curve with advanced analytics. is well suited for companies that want to get their feet wet in the business intelligence space, but don't want to devote a lot of resources to the [options upfront]. Grow is well suited for companies that want easy, shareable data visualization that has analysts well versed in SQL queries.
If there is one area that excel[s] upon much better than other data visualization tools, it is's customer/tech support. responds much quicker and does a better job of getting to a solution [than] any other business intelligence tool on the market. The support staff gets the big picture [...] and knows how to help.

Definitely. well suited for larger organizations. Smaller organizations may not need this tool as much. It depends on where you store your data and what integrates with it as well.

Verified User is being used by our organization to analyze data and make data driven decisions. Most of our entire organization uses it because we have different dashboards for each section of our team to analyze certain data that is within that part of the company. It solves the problem of aggregating data everything that we have in one place.
  • Easy to use.
  • Aggregates data.
  • Expandable features.
  • Integrations.
  • Autocomplete.
  • And SQL.
It is well suited for any company who has a large amount of data that they want to be able to analyze in one place without a lot of effort. makes it easy to integrate all of this data into one place that can be analyzed easily. If you have only a tiny bit of data to look at, or need tons of customization, it might make more sense to create your own platform.
The support team is very helpful and in every situation we have needed help in, they have been able to assist. So I have had a good experience with them.

We use as a way to combine analytics from various sources on easy-to-read dashboards.
  • Combine data sources such as Bronto click-through-rates with Google Analytics revenue.
  • Visualize data.
  • Offer many different connections/sources.
  • There are limits to what data can be shown, but that has more to do with the various APIs than Grow.
  • The pricing structure is less-than-ideal.
  • If a source/API disconnects for some reason, it's time consuming to get it to work.
We use it as a way for different departments to show data to others (VPs etc) that is easier to digest than spreadsheets.

We use Grow across our entire organization. Initially, we used it mainly in Sales Ops, but have since extended its use across CS and Marketing as well. As a growing startup company, we need customizable reporting that gives us quick and accurate insights so we can pivot our approach to product development and how we sell the product.
  • Grow is very customizable, allowing us the build the BI graphics that really move our business
  • Grow has compelling visuals that help to digest information quickly
  • Grow has a great support team that has always been there when we need them
  • The navigation between different dashboards is not very clean and impairs the effectiveness of live presentations
  • The graphs and visuals are good, especially for small businesses, but it doesn't take it to the next level for us and really wow stakeholders
  • There is no preview option to understand how the dashboards will present on different devices making it difficult to anticipate sizing for presentations
Grow is great for building reports, throwing them up on a screen for teams to view and track as they work and for small groups to analyze data for making short term business decisions. While the visuals in Grow are good, they fail to make the kind of impact that makes for great boardroom presentations. Fonts are not very customizable.

For companies looking for a fully featured business intelligence platform, I'd keep looking. However, when you know what you're getting—easy and quickly visualized data, primarily for marketing and sales, then Grow is really going to shine. It's simple, easy to use, easy to integrate, and looks pretty darn good. It's still relatively new, so there's some catching up to do, but it's really solid as a dashboard platform.
  • Visualizations are really solid. It's extremely well designed and laid out.
  • UX and UI is fantastic. Gives you exactly what you're looking for, and typically where you're looking for it.
  • Simple to integrate common platforms and pull data.
  • There are basic labeling issues with some of the graph types. Wish there was more customizability here, especially on complex graphs.
  • Could help more with analysis of data and trends, but that's going into full-fledged BI territory.
  • The functionality of being able to snapshot data isn't quite there.
Grow is very well suited for data visualization and dashboards. It is very slick looking—we keep our common sales and marketing KPIs on an array of TVs, and it's pretty. I like how they call and receive data, keeps everything really up to date. If more statistics or in-depth analysis is needed, Grow really isn't the right tool. If you want to display KPI data simply and beautifully, it's a perfect tool.

Verified User is used primarily by marketing when it comes to the architecture and building of the dashboards, but several other departments utilize the dashboards from a viewership perspective. Our CEO has told us he gets more insight than he ever has before in the history of the company. One of the main problems we were trying to solve it bringing in all of these sources of data into one central location for analysis.
  • is very easy to use with minimum experience in databases or SQL
  • Most of the metrics are aesthetically pleasing compared to other competitors
  • They are continuing to improve and add more and more datasources as time goes on
  • Their pricing structure can be difficult as they charge for the peak number of metrics you have used over a given time
  • Some of the individual metrics are not as customizable as one would like
  • Using some of the spreadsheet functions take some learning and are not as intuitive as the rest of the product seems
If you are looking for a way to combine metrics from several different sources, is an excellent source for that. It does not take much learning to get insight through visual representation of data. There are some great pre-built metrics in the big categories that can help anyone get up and running in minutes. fits great with small to medium businesses who are looking for simple insight into their complex structures. The more complexity you have, some other tools might be a better fit, but will cover the majority of business needs.

  • Easy to learn and administer

We utilize Grow as a way to connect multiple sources of data in order to deliver an easy-to-understand ROI report for our client partners. Previously we relied on each department within our agency to create independent reports. This lead to inconsistency in methodology and in the deliverables themselves. Grow has helped to reduce this friction.
  • Grow has a wide range of connectors, without having so many as to be cost-prohibitive.
  • The support team at Grow has been very helpful, which is necessary especially when learning about a brand new software.
  • More flexibility on the client-facing UI would be nice (the ability to lasso multiple metrics/widgets and move at once, for example).
  • Bulk date-range changing from the client-facing report.
Grow is very helpful for visualizing data from multiple data-sets. Think of Grow as Microsoft Excel on steroids with the ability to pull easily from multiple data sources.

We adopted Grow across our entire organization, to be the single platform to communicate important metrics and KPIs. We had previously struggled to combine important data from the many systems and platforms that we utilize inside of our business.
  • We like how easy it is to automate the reporting from our ERP, CRM, Front-End Sales System, Phone Analytics and more directly into Grow.
  • The mobile App for Grow is excellent and allows employees across 13 states to access the data easily and while on the go.
  • Great look and feel. We are flexible to show our data in a multitude of formats and styles.
  • Real time data.
  • I would like to see a steady stream of new styles and templates that would make it easy for us to keep our dashboards fresh and exciting.
Grow is an excellent fit for any organization that believes data, metrics and/or KPIs can be important in making your team better. If your organization is mining data from more than one system, then Grow will be a huge asset in making that data easily found, displayed and actionable.

  • The support is very good. It very easy to get someone on the phone and everyone you speak to really understands the application.
  • The software is great. It connects with everything and is straight forward and powerful.

We use Grow to track and measure marketing metrics for our clients. These metrics serve as a reporting feature we can offer our client base. Grow is a very useful tool to track lead generation tactics and methods. We can determine effectiveness and measure success all on one screen.
  • Out-of-the box connectivity. Chances are very good (very good!) that Grow connects to all the tools you use to run your business. Most connections are as simple as login/password.
  • Reporting flexibility. Metrics can be anything from a simple number (You have 12 leads this week) to a complex graphical display of multiple reporting sources (Your 12 leads came from PPC, LinkedIn, Calls from this location, these three forms on your website, these organic search terms and that Twitter follower who re-tweets all your posts).
  • Reports are share-able without being editable. Sharing a report is as easy as sending a URL or exporting a PDF.
  • Dashboard styling is severely lacking. While the metrics look fine on their own, it doesn't take long before your dashboard can look like a Data Scientist vomited all over your monitor. Creating pages within a dashboard would be awesome. Adding sections with different heading styles and background colors would be helpful.
  • Dashboard layout. Re-arranging metrics on a dashboard is cumbersome. If the user could zoom-out, rearrange the metrics then zoom back in, it would make the layouts so much easier to manage.
  • Labeling data points. If I could only click on the chart and type my own labels . . .
Grow is a great BI tool for any company.

Grow is being used widely throughout our company. A big part of my role is to evangelize data-driven decision making across the organization, and Grow helps me do that by giving me a lot of flexibility in quickly setting up new metrics as well as in easily sharing the output with my colleagues to motivate their decision-making.
  • Ability to query an embedded SQLite database full of data integrated from disparate sources using a non-crippled version of SQL.
  • Ease of integration with cloud data sources.
  • Ease and flexibility in setting up charts from tabular data.
  • When data integrations perform poorly (e.g. not Grow's fault) it is hard to tell from the UI what operation I am waiting on and what the progress is. Furthermore, there is no way to manually cache/expire a big data pull that could be queried repeatedly after the fact while developing a metric. This can make developing new metrics against slower integrations somewhat frustrating.
Grow is very well-suited for the power user that wants fine-grained control over their metrics and access to raw SQL. I think it might also be well-suited for other use cases as well but I can't speak to them. I wouldn't necessarily preclude it for non-power users, I just don't know based on my experience.

We use Grow to pull data from disparate back end systems to create company and client-facing reports. We just don't have the time to use spreadsheets and we cannot spare dev time to pull data. We initially looked into Grow to be our outsourced reporting engine to our technology as we continued to develop our own in-house solutions. Primarily, we used it to create customer-facing pipeline reports. Once getting the hang of Grow, we then began using it across the company's departments to report on sales activity and revenue, customer health, and other important high-level metrics.
  • I love the fact that you have a team of developers who can help me build metrics or fix metrics that I do not create properly. I had to learn SQL in order to really build the metrics that mattered, which was a lot of fun, but resulted in many broken metrics. The vendor's team was great in responding to me requests for help!
  • Really, really appreciate the fact that Grow has SQL formulas to reference when building metrics. Again, as a novice, this accelerated my ability to learn and not have to leave your site and resources and stay within the Grow web properties.
  • Great account managers who check in regularly and are willing to help out whenever needed.
  • I really think Grow needs to consider putting on its roadmap the ability to customize the automated emails that are sent if you choose to send daily / weekly / monthly dashboards. We created dashboards for each of our customers, and the emails that are sent have a link to sign into your account, but our customers do not have an account. There was, and continues to be, a lot of confusion there.
  • Pricing is a little confusing. We have since moved to the white-label solution (super cool Grow has that), but I am not motivated to create a bunch of dashboards. On one end, the per-dashboard pricing is good because it forces us to be more intentional with our dashboards. However, because we use the dashboards for internal reporting with our company as well as reporting to our customers, we are now building our own reporting in our own tech to minimize our costs with Grow.
  • Love that Grow has some template metrics to use! Would love to see more of those, or metric examples from other companies using specific tools Grow integrates with.
Grow is useful when you know which metrics you need to report on. This is certainly less useful for companies who are in their earlier stage, but even as we are growing, we have to be mindful of how much work it will take to rebuild dashboards and how this may impact certain areas of our company.

Our organization is in six countries around the world and we use Grow to consolidate data and monitor each operation. Before we had Excel sheets that would link to an Excel sheet that would link to more Excel sheets. The old process was prone to errors and we relied on monthly reports that often came two weeks after the close of the month.
  • Simple, It may not have as many bells and whistles as some other products but I can do it myself and I don't need a dev guy.
  • Grabs data from so many sources.
  • We sometime have issues with the browser tab shutting down.

We use Grow to aggregate report information from a couple of different resources (VersionOne and Zoho). VersionOne has some reports built into the product, but it didn't allow me to see the information I really wanted to look into. I used the Custom API integration from Grow and have it pulling the data I care about and presented in a simple way, allowing me to see what is needed.

The charts are used across the organization to get a pulse on productivity and if there are any areas which may need additional attention or guidance.
  • Creating a new metric is simple and easy to learn.
  • Grow does a good job of abstracting the user away from needing to know SQL to see what they want.
  • Grow also allows me to dive in deep by writing my own SQL to manipulate the data when I need to.
  • Some more advanced options would be very interesting. The API I use allows me to pull information based on an 'asof' modifier. Thus setting the date for which I care about the data. It would be super awesome if I could make that variable and not a fixed date. So that I could pull information 'asof' 2 weeks ago, 1 week ago, and today and compare.
If you are in an organization which is data-driven, pays attention to KPIs and is seeking to stay on top of the information you care about - but don't want the overhead of building a report daily, weekly, or monthly - then Grow might be the right solution for you. Build it once and then pay attention to the report on the frequency which matters.
