Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4

We don't use any of KnowBe4's commercial programs or platforms yet. We are in the evaluation stages on several fronts but haven't selected yet. We haven't looked at user management from KnowBe4.
I use KnowBe4's free tools to check password strength, exposed passwords, and passwords that have been compromised. As far as I know, I'm the only user of KnowBe4's tools in our organization. But I use them quite often--multiple times per month. I also keep up to date on security issues by using KnowBe4's Resources site to grab whitepapers, case studies, and more information about exploits such as social engineering and phishing.
  • KnowBe4 makes fully functional, easy to use tools that are robust and useful.
  • KnowBe4 makes some great free tools for evaluating security issues in your network.
  • KnowBe4's customer service and technologists are very helpful and responsive to questions and problems with their apps--even the free ones.
  • I've never had any issues with KnowBe4's tools.
  • I once contacted tech support about one of their tools' functionality but it was something that I didn't understand about the application and not a flaw with the application itself. User error.
  • The simulated phishing tools are pretty good and did expose some weaknesses.
  • The free tools are quite good for a cursory audit/check. No real impact on ROI.
I checked demos of multiple products, including KnowBe4's security awareness training, and KnowBe4's was superior in almost every way. Real-life scenarios, thorough and engaging content, and good feedback. We haven't selected a vendor for security awareness training yet but are still in the evaluation stage. The project has been put on hold until next year when the new budget begins but so far, KnowBe4 is in the lead spot.
Support is very responsive and always helpful. Responsive means within a couple of hours for the free tools. For evaluations, they are extremely helpful and ping you pretty often for asking if there's more they can do or if you need anything else. I have contacted support for one of the free tools and the tech was very helpful and my issue was resolved in just a few minutes. It was a misunderstanding of the application on my part, which the tech quickly cleared up and walked me through the correct procedure.

Would you buy KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training again?

Yes

It has made us aware of how lame our current awareness program is and how much we need to upgrade it. Security awareness is very important to us and we realize that it needs a lot of help, so we sought out external vendors for it. KnowBe4's seems to cover all the bases and is easy to use.
The metrics I'm looking for are mostly related to password strength, password compromise, and other aspects of handling password complexity, reuse, and vulnerability. The reports and results of the tests give an at-a-glance type look at results. Some are pass/fail type results, while others give more in-depth analyses but some of those are of no interest to me personally. I'm mostly concerned with pass/fail, so the at-a-glance reporting works well for me. I don't have to dig for any information.
KnowBe4's free tools are well suited for quick checks and "lite" audit work. Their strength is their Security Awareness training which is far more than the standard five-minute per year click through security awareness that you get from some vendors. The tools are great for system administrators and possibly junior-level security personnel, but more advanced tools are needed for corporate security environments. The training is appropriate for onboarding new employees and for the annual refresher training. Again, their training, that I'm aware of, is not for security personnel but just regular employees.
