Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

The KnowBe4 Enterprise Awareness Training program was researched and selected for use within our whole organization to ensure our staff is aware and capable of identifying various online threats such as phishing attacks, social engineering, malware, the man in the middle and many more. Even though we utilize various security systems such as firewalls, advanced threat protection, antivirus, email scanning and many more, there is always a risk that something will get past as it could be a new type of attack. With the training, our staff are more aware of the various vectors used and will help them be safe both in the workplace but also at home in their personal lives.
  • The KnowBe4 Enterprise Awareness Training Program includes various interactive training modules to explain and test users on what they are learning. As you progress through the training and testing you can see your risk factor go down for the company.
  • The KnowBe4 Enterprise Awareness Training Program includes various resources such as posters that can be printed out and put up in a workplace to further reinforce the training being provided.
  • The KnowBe4 Enterprise Awareness Training Program can also do Vishing testing where automated phone calls are placed to try and get sensitive information from the user.
  • The KnowBe4 Enterprise Awareness Training Program has a great setup system that tracks your progress in getting the system running with testing, training, testing again, scheduling to ensure it can run itself and give you test results.
  • Many updates and enhancements have been added to the system over the few years we have been using it. This is great as it keeps the training and content fresh and relevant.
  • Although there is lots of documentation and assistance from account managers, the setup of training and testing can take a while and some effort.
  • A lot of the content is still very US centric, which isn't terrible but there are some differences in language that leave some users scratching their head if they aren't aware of both meanings.
  • Staff is more aware of scam emails and so don't waste time on them and instead have more time to work on real customer emails.
  • The testing and reporting have made it easier for management to ensure staff is trained and improving their online security knowledge.
  • From an IT Security point of view, it has reduced our effort in training and also verifying emails staff have forwarded as unsure of its safety.
Looked at GoPhish as an internally run system but time to get running and setup outweighed the cost to just purchase and have a system running quickly and in a proper and tested way. The KnowBe4 Training Program also has its own store where there are many resources available for training modules, videos, games, posters etc to allow a customized experience for different staff/roles etc. KnowBe4 can also do Vishing and USB key testing.

New content and different publishers has been great for our training. New content means staff aren't seeing the same thing over and over and skipping over it, keeping them engaged. It is also useful as it looks at the same issue different ways so it broadens the understanding from staff so they can get trained better.
And different publishers means a fresh look at the training, or a different voice or style to again, keep it interesting for staff to stay engaged.
User management is very easy as we have it integrated with our existing active directory to pull our users into the platform. We then massage it a little to group up our users. We then have basic training for all our users but also specialised training for some staff based on their group.
The KnowBe4 platform gave us an initial baseline report after some industry specific questions, from there we had our initial testing happen and this is compared to our baseline. As time has gone on, we look at how many staff click within the tests to see if our risk score is going up or down, and this allows us to easily identify if staff require more training together or if a few users require some 1 on 1 training.
Overall we look at our risk score and which users are failing our tests to see how we ensure our risk goes down.
The KnowBe4 Enterprise Awareness Training Program is suited to everyone in every industry as it's training on how to be safe online, be it for work or personal reasons. It gives examples of how you can be manipulated in giving out various pieces of information by external individuals or groups to gain access to your logins, passwords or personal information that they combine to take over your email accounts, bank accounts, cloud storage accounts, photos or go all out and take over your identity. Training like this should be standard in a workplace and even more so within schools to ensure people are aware of what is possible. Protection systems can only do so much before it lands with people to make informed decisions.

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training Support

Emails for help get responded to super quickly with direct information or links to their extensive knowledge base and/or FAQ's. Larger issues have gone back to the developers and I'm happy to say the changes we required did get rolled out into the product after a short period of time. Overall any support issues have had a positive outcome.
