Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
KnowBe4 is a industry leading security awareness training tool, which can be used to send out cyber security training content, phishing campaigns, and other resources depending on the modules you have purchased. The user is the weakest link in the security chain, and so it is important to educate and raise awareness for different threats that users will encounter. Before I purchased KnowBe4 I had to scrape together different products to send out phishing campaigns, and I was creating my own training material. This took time and meant that I wasn't able to do this as often as I would like. However, with KnowBe4 I have access to a large library of email templates, training modules, and customizable features for educating my staff.
- Customizable Phishing Campaigns
- Excellent Training Modules
- Multiple Product Integrations
- More Content for Non-Diamond Users
- More Interactive Training Material
- Customizable Reporting
- Lower Click Rates
- Higher Report Rates
- Webroot Security Awareness Training, Microsoft 365 Defender and THRIVE Learning & Skills Platform
In the past I have used ThriveDX/Lucy for security awareness training, and I liked that platform, but I liked the KnowBe4 interface more. I was using Microsoft Defender for O365 as my security awareness training platform, but unless you have an E5 license the cost of fully implementing this was too high. As I was shopping around I tried Webroot Security Awareness Training, and while it was much cheaper, the content library was smaller and it didn't have as many features.

The fresh content has been great for me and my staff. I was creating the training material manually before, and the high quality material from KnowBe4 has definitely been a good change of pace. There is a lot of variety, from longer form content to micro modules that only last 5-7 minutes. Not only do I have a lot of options to choose from, but I know my users are consuming great material.
Right now we have SSO implemented and SCIM provisioning with Azure AD. This works great for provisioning users based on AD groups, and then accessing the platform with our regular AD credentials. Out of the many products I have used, the process of integrating this technology with my current tech stack was easy and efficient.
The most important metrics are how many users have fallen for the phishing campaign, if they entered credentials or click on a link, and how many of them completed the training. My management is very interesting in knowing if our users are improving in this area, or if they are learning anything from the platform.
