Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
We utilize KnowBe4 to do monthly phishing campaigns, biannual security awareness training, and monthly credential harvesting campaigns. As we see other types of attacks come in, we adjust our training to match in order to keep our users aware and up to date.
Pros
- Teaches users real world tactics bad actors use in email and other areas they may interact with.
- Explains the types of threats and the impact they have on an organization or customer base.
- Prepares users to question all email authenticity and increases reporting tenfold.
Cons
- Some of the AI email templates need work, as sometimes they send the same style to everyone. In these cases, people expect what to see. Being fully random helps prevent people from knowing exactly what to look for vs keeping an eye out as they should.
- Need more variety of types of attacks in the training videos and training material in general. A lot of new styles of attacks are happening through phishing now and that needs to be covered.
- Users should periodically (automated as well), get emails reminding them to complete training or remedial training. This is currently a pretty manual process and I don't see why. This should simply be logical for the system to send one every few days so they complete it.
- Improved security posture and awareness overall.
- Slowed down the number of compromised accounts compared to previous years.
- Made all my users think before clicking or responding to email.
- Drastically increased the number of reported emails, instead of ignoring them.
Knowbe4 overall has more functionality than the competition. The other items out there simply send some emails and monitor, but not to the extend this application does. That and the level of customer service you get, is FAR above the industry standard in this area. I've never once had an issue with anything that couldn't be solved by support.

Previously before KnowBe4, our users were constantly seeing compromised accounts and all sorts of bad files etc. They had faced a few cyber attacks as well, which you think would have helped increase awareness in general. After implementing KnowBe4, it was a 180 difference. Could not be more happier with this product.
We use the SSO module to connect to AD an auto-provision accounts. There are groups for each department we have created to keep the organized and to also be able to target specific departments for phishing campaigns. All new users are automatically enrolled and notified as well. As users are offboarded, they are automatically removed from the program via you disabling or removing them in AD.
For metrics, the dashboard is pretty awesome to start with. You can see your risk score, user prone percentage, and many other factors. These are great to see over time. We have dropped significantly and are below industry standard in most areas. Reporting is great too; it allows you to dump all that data to files for execs.
