Overall Satisfaction with LastPass for Business

We use LastPass to store all of our business usernames and passwords, other access information, and important number or text strings. It solves our requirement to securely store this information, it allows for very straightforward onboarding and offboarding of staff, tight access control for internal and external staff access, improves the integrity of our passwords.

Pros

Cons

  • No ability to archive passwords
  • There is an audit trail for some aspects, but this feature could be more robust
  • No ability to grant permissions at the password level, only at a folder level.
  • Saves a lot of time for all staff searching through passwords,or finding that they're no longer correct
  • Saves a lot of time and gives significant peace of mind when onboarding and offboarding staff.
The LastPass Vault feature is more user friendly than Bitwarden. It gives a nice view of all passwods and the access within. Bitwarden's pricing is more attractive though.
LastPass for Business works really well within our small to medium sized business. However, I do feel that it wouldn't scale too well beyond this level - more from an admin perspective rather than a users. From the admin side, there is no way to archive passwords or stop them from showing, so a lot of time is spent scrolling through irrelevant passwords.

Never needed to use their support.
Perfectly suited to small-medium sized teams. Works well to restrict access to senitive information or logins from staff who don't require access. I don't believe it would scale well for admins in bigger, broader organisations.
