Perfect LMS for internal knowledge management
Overall Satisfaction with Lesson.ly
We are using Lesson.ly internally to streamline our onboarding process and improve ongoing employee training. We’ve implemented it across multiple departments. We also opted to leverage their practice scenarios user interface to expose new hires to real-world customer issues and measure their performance. This enables us to practice their responses for our “coaches” before interacting with real customers.
Pros
- Lesson.ly has learner-focused content. Clean, easy to navigate training content with text, video, images, GIFs, interactivity and quizzing.
- Their Lesson Builder tool makes creating content a breeze. We are able to add text, drag in images, link videos and create quizzes very quickly.
- Reporting and insights with Lesson.ly are great. Admins have access to reports that track completion and scores, as well as monitoring engagement and user satisfaction. This helps us tailor our courses to our audience.
- Learning paths help us ensure lessons are grouped in sequences that follow a logical order - so everyone is on a level playing field.
Cons
- They have something called “ask the expert” which is designed to allow users to quickly ask for clarification for a training module if needed, but this logic was a little clunky and notifications were not built in.
- The integrations are great overall but it would be nice if it integrated with more Regulatory systems like MasterControl.
- The instant search logic was sometimes not very smart. It would be nice to include label filters for courses.
- We have been able to quickly ramp up new hires, which saves us resources on internal training development.
- We have been able to improve customer KPIs since we have improved the knowledge of our customer service agents. This reduces the issue resolution time, thereby saving resources.
- Practice scenarios user interface allows us to coach new hires without having to put manual effort into it. The process is automated, and feedback can be delivered immediately.
- Litmos, Bridge and Absorb Anywhere LMS
We selected Lesson.ly because the practice scenarios were key for our onboarding program. This was the only platform that offered that. It also has integrations with more of the products we already use, including Salesforce, Slack and Google Suite. This made it easy for us to ramp up with a very small learning curve.
