Overall Satisfaction with Litmos
We use Litmos to support virtually all of our learning needs in the organization. We use it to deliver onboarding for new starters, compliance training for new starters and existing staff, for ongoing professional development and as a reference library (Litmos pre-designed courses). We are a global organization that is spread across different continents and cities and so, we use Litmos to ensure that our distributed teams can access the same content, learning and information when they need it.
Pros
- Content Authoring: Litmos has a good content authoring tool that provides options for designing engaging and interactive courses.
- Reporting: Litmos reporting tools and reporting engines are clear to understand, the come with useful features that allow for tracking completion, learning and engagement.
- Course Library: Litmos has an extensive course library that we can reorganize into learning pathways to accomplish set learning objectives for our team.
- Customer Support: We have seen Litmos Customer support improve over the time we have been customers. Not only are there helpful resources within the Litmos University, we also have access to skilled support from our Customer Success Manager and the Litmos Technical Team.
Cons
- Learner Search: This will be highly valuable for our team especially because our staff do not only use Litmos to take courses but equally use it to search for content that they need to do their jobs in the moment. Users should be able to search using keywords to easily locate specific content.
- Knowledge Base Feature: In addition to the search function above, some of our content we find can be better organized in knowledge bases for easy access. If Litmos has a knowledge base feature, it would help us have all our learning content in one place.
- Module Copying Feature: The current module copying feature allow us to make copies of module copies from another course but which are still linked to and affected by changes in the original course. It will be useful to be able to copy courses/modules and make them entirely independent of the original course.
- Creating Instances of Library Courses: We find that for Litmos courses, it is hard to assign different compliance due dates to separate user groups. It might be useful to be able to create copies of the Litmos courses on the platform so that we can apply different compliance dates for separate teams or groups of users.
- Simplified Reporting: The Litmos Reporting engine has made it easier for us to generate detailed reports quickly and provide these to managers, helping them better support their teams with learning and compliance.
- Increased Compliance: The availability of relevant compliance courses, ease of access to those courses and the ability to report on them quickly has helped us as a global business to improve compliance rates and timelines.
- Improved Onboarding: Our onboarding process, and in particular, our induction process which is composed of a series of meetings, assignments and content study is being better tracked and delivered via Litmos features which support these things.
Litmos has a more engaging interface and a more robust content authoring tool that allows for creating exportable learning course formats like SCORM. Litmos also has a much more streamlined and effective progress and completing reporting engine. In addition, Litmos has an extensive course library that we can use in our compliance and ongoing professional development learning. In the previous platform, we used to have to complete compliance learning on a separate platform.
