Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

We use LogicMonitor to monitor servers and networks across multiple sites and servers to alert us of hardware issues or outages.
  • Can monitor O365 service status and throughput.
  • Able to predict future disk usage growth and alert us before we run out.
  • Very flexible in how we can handle and route alerting from issues.
  • Needs to implement device dependencies. For example not alerting on "down" devices attached to a switch that is down.
  • Does not handle clustered services very well. For example of a clustered VM goes offline and there are 4 hosts in the cluster all 4 hosts report and issue rather than the 1 host it resides on or just the guest machine itself.
  • Configuration can be confusing and difficult at times. The good news is their support is very available and willing to help.
  • Neither positive or negative really other than it allows us to keep an eye on our systems and be aware of issues sometimes before a user calls.
Super responsive chat. Always pleasant and willing to dive in and help. They will go out of their way to explain things and walk you through processes, provide screenshots, or even create examples for you. I have chatted with them so many times during setup and never felt anything but pleased at their support levels.
We monitor about 150 devices, both servers and switches across about 30 locations in the US and recently started monitoring our O365 services. The support group provided us with a very fancy dashboard that gives all kinds of details about 365.
This is not an on-prem tool. Everything is cloud based. The deployment was a bit of a challenge because of the flexibility of the product but support was very helpful in getting us deployed and has continued to be extremely supportive in making changes over time. We have not really used other tools in ass much depth as this one. We did use WhatsUp many years back but it had its own set of challenges and was not as good a product for us.
No, LM was a new tool for us. We did not retire anything.
Works very well for monitoring systems once everything is configured correctly.
