Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

LogicMonitor is being used by out IT Operations team to monitor our IT infrastructure. This provides line of sight, logging, and alerting for issues related to our servers, networks, and applications.
  • Extensive monitoring capabilities for a wide variety of hardware.
  • Monitoring and alerting thresholds can easily be templated and applied to numerous endpoints quickly.
  • Alerting methods and integrations with 3rd party software is open and easily configured.
  • Upfront setup will take some time.
  • Year 1 did not see a positive ROI due to the upfront setup and tuning required.
  • Year 2-7 has seen a positive ROI and the ROI has steadily increased as the system has continuously been tuned to our needs.
When comparing LogicMonitor against Zabbix, we found that both systems are capable of covering everything we needed in terms of monitoring and alerting. LogicMonitor required less up front setup and configuration, where Zabbix has more potential being that it is open source.
The support team at LogicMonitor has always gone above and beyond when we've needed their assistance. From troubleshooting, to how-to's, to assisting with building our custom needs - they're great!
We are not using this feature as it is not included in our license tier.
We've yet to find a use case that LogicMonitor couldn't handle for us.

LogicMonitor has exceeded our needs over the past 7 years. Now that the system is finely tuned, alert fatigue has declined and my team can better focus on what actually matters.
