Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

LogicMonitor helps understand the severity of alerts so that businesses can identify which problem to resolve first. Also, it's not just a monitoring tool but a whole package of required applications. So rather than purchasing different applications to do the job, LogicMonitor would be a one-stop solution for all.
  • It monitors all the devices in organization
  • Best part is the log analysis which is way ahead from it's competition
  • APM are also the best to use
  • LogicMonitor tells us the average collected data for the last minute, while this seems to be a good value to look on, sometimes it's not a good idea to get those data and analyse them.
  • It should show the threshold reached while monitoring and keep that data as static to make other understand from the graph that the surge happened in the last minute.
  • A good mobile application is what we need currently from LogicMonitor, as this is now the era of mobiles.
  • To access the data from mobiles, LogicMonitor should build a robust network and access control system so that organizations can provide access to employees without even thinking of breaching the system security.
  • Previously because of other monitoring tools we did not have a good idea of what's happening in our IT infrastructure, as either they were reporting the wrong numbers or they do not collect the data completely.
  • LogicMonitor, on the other hand, feels lightweight and did not let us down either by providing timely and accurate information.
  • While other monitoring tools actually requires a lot of computing power, LogicMonitor, on the other hand, is quite lightweight. And because of this it keeps operating with even less compute resource and I have experienced others that they stop responding while on a moderate load.
  • I personally love the private dashboard, which provides a private experience and without hindering the current work. Our business has strengthened after using LogicMonitor.
  • SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (npm)
Solarwinds was a good tool when we were having a small amount of network devices, but once we reached to a large number of network devices, Solarwind started giving issues as it stopped respnding sometime, slowness in navigation, DB need fixes sometime etc. While the same data we have tried with LogicMonitor, it worked like a charm.
We have on-prem as well as cloud infrastructure. Right now, we are expanding our horizon to include all the devices be it network or servers to be included in LogicMonitor. Right now, we are monitoring around 600 Servers and 250 Network devices. And they all come from different geographical locations.
I was not a part of the implementation team but what I can say that the configuration is much easier compared to other tools we have used previously. Thankfully we have provided with a training which actually eased this further. Maintaining the LogicMonitor is also easy but just because it's a new tool to us right now so we can't really commit on that one right now.
As per my experience, the above statement is somewhat true as we have retired more than 2 tools which were being used previously by our organization just after we started using the LogicMonitor. As the LogicMonitor tool already provided that feature in its application. Also, we were thinking of one another tool to purchase, but I think it's already in discussion with LogicMonitor so that this can be done with LogicMonitor itself.

Do you think LogicMonitor delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with LogicMonitor's feature set?

Yes

Did LogicMonitor live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of LogicMonitor go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy LogicMonitor again?

Yes

I was working with LogicMonitor and I saw that LogicMonitor collects all the data and keep that to create a graph, There is an option where I can edit those "numbers" to recreate the graph by myself, which is a very good thing to do as sometime we need to edit the data, not because of inaccuracy, but because we know our system and it can sometimes send false alarms with wrong numbers.

Although this is a good thing to have in LogicMonitor, on the other hand, this becomes a very bad thing as someone can easily manipulate the data and present it to management, stating that this data has been collected by LogicMonitor.
