Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Central

We used it to remotely access all of our computers (PC + Mac) across seven campuses throughout the Midwest.
  • Android and iOS app work great.
  • LogMeIn desktop client works great.
  • Horrendously overpriced.
  • 40%-80% annual price increases.
  • Remote sound does not properly switch back to local sound all the time on Macs.
  • LogMeIn allows for quick IT support.
  • LogMeIn was a great value 8 or 9 years ago when we started using it. With their constant price gouging of loyal customers, there is no longer any value to LogMeIn - it is a rip-off.
LogMeIn works pretty well, except for the remote sound. Quite often on our Macs, the local user will not have sound. When we investigate the problem, we discover that the audio output has automatically switched to LogMeIn Remote Sound and not the local speakers/headphone output. This occurs even when we do not connect with LogMeIn. On Macs, quite often LogMeIn will show up as disabled, even though no one disabled it. When this happens, and admin has to logon locally and re-enables LogMeIn.
The service has been very reliable.
LogMeIn is great for remote support of devices spread across a large geographic area. LogMeIn would be great if they didn't have 40%-80% annual price hikes. The only way we've been able to keep the service is to keep dropping to lower tiers of service. It is always wonderful to pay more and get less, but with LogMeIn, you get used to paying more and getting less.
