Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Rescue

When you have work-from-home employees and various work locations, LogMeIn Rescue is a game changer. We can't all be everywhere at once. When you have a sales office and a business office in different locations in the same city, remote assistance becomes a crucial and necessary tool. When you have work-from-home employees in different cities, remote assistance is the only way to address technical problems without having to fly out and deal with them in person.

Pros

  • Control the user desktop for remote assistance.
  • Transfer files from a local to a remote device.
  • Allow unattended access to remote devices.
  • Automatic reconnect after reboot.

Cons

  • I would like to see more color schemes.
  • Better and more intuitive help features.
  • A more updated user interface.
  • For businesses with small to midsize IT staff, the ability to remotely control devices that are not on-site and occasionally out of state is extremely cost-effective.
  • The speedy response time of LogMeIn Rescue has been very helpful in resolving issues for IT staff.
  • The administrative process has been made more efficient by the ability to remotely log into servers.
I believe that LogMeIn Rescue is extremely suitable for users of all levels of technical prowess. The user interaction is minimal, and the agent is available to take over at every step of the way. From problem resolution to training, LogMeIn Rescue can take care of it all. LogMeIn Rescue makes the user support process easier and faster so the user can have the issues resolved in a timely manner.
Only one agent can use a login at a time; hence, if you log into a different workstation with your credentials, the agent is asked if they are taking over from the other session. This is a very secure way of keeping a "one login" use at a time. LogMeIn Rescue is a much more secure way of accessing our on-premise servers from all parts of the world.
I have used other remote products and they are not as robust as LogMeIn Rescue nor do they offer the same features.
Albeit it is a good and very usable user interface, it is not a very modern-looking and intuitive one. Better help features would be a welcome addition to this already great product. I find that most of the options are set in stone, and you have limited customizations available to you.

LogMeIn Rescue is fantastic at resolving device issues when users are away from the office/desk and the unattended access feature is used. When interrupting user workflow means less productivity and potentially less money for the organization, this tool is fantastic at allowing the resolution of issues without being on-premise and without having the user present.
