Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo

We use LogMein Rescue to assist in remote sessions with clients and to remote into a host computer from remote locations. It is easy to set up and to work with when you need instant help. I have been using their products for about 15 years and have seen many changes come through.

Pros

  • Instant access.
  • Remote printing.
  • Multiple access to computers.

Cons

  • Instructions on which is host and with is remote.
  • Better GUI setup
  • Better explanation of symbols.
  • People love instant gratification.
  • When a problem can fix right away.
  • Can access from cell.
Most people can use LogMein Rescue with the guidance of tech. Sometimes, it is harder to relate to an older population when they have too many instructions to follow. I have been assisting clients remotely for about 15 years, so I know. It is not easy to deal with the general public; patience is needed with any remote tool.
The remote sessions are encrypted and safe for the end user. Our organization only uses tools that can be used to meet HIPAA compliance. We deal with many people in financial accounting and real estate who want to know if the program is secure. This adds value to LogMein.
I think that dealing with any remote tool requires customization to make it a more desirable product. People like having security and permission levels to keep others out.

I have used Splashtop, RemotePC, and TeamViewer. LogMein is right up there with RemotePC.
