Overall Satisfaction with Lotame

We are a sales house and responsible for more than 300 online publishers. To better monetize this business we create audiences based on this data. We created base segments but also have the opportunity to create customized segments.
We use these audiences to create data driven products for advertisers. Our campaign planning department uses the segments to optimize their online campaigns. In both cases the segments help to better monetize the inventory.
But we also use Lotame to get insights on our publisher base. Besides being part of our product, Lotame also helps us to monitor our data potential and help Sales and Product Management to better understand monetizing potential, as well as getting alerted if data flows stops or become too low or if other things look strange. So we could also detect fraud traffic on an early stage.
  • Very good client service and hands on support. Good online training platforms & know how centers.
  • Transparent and easy way to create audiences and manage the audiences in the platform.
  • Encouraging their clients to share experiences and so get stronger.
  • Improvements on dashboard for quicker overview on segment statistics (more visualization).
  • 3rd party handling with cross device partners more open.
  • Positive impact on our transparency on our publishers. Help to better understand them.
  • Positive impact on audience monetization. By doing the data management in-house we also have a bigger credibility with our clients.
  • Positive impact on our product development: Getting more audience products on the way.
  • Not yet solved: Issue on Cross Device but on its way.
We had a list of more than 9 different DMP solutions which we evaluated on different criterias relevant for our business, such as Business Alignement & Pricing, Segment Sharing / Data Selling, 1st Party Data Collection & Storage, 3rd Party Data Integration, Reports / Exports / Forecasting, Customer Service and Roadmap, Audience Building, Additional Features (e.g. Prediction), Data Security, Multi-Plattform Links (SSPs and DSPs, also new channels like Radio...). Based on a scoring table we found Lotame as the best fit to our requirements.

Well suited for advertising business. Has a lot of links to all relevant technologies. It is also a great platform if you want to buy or sell data and look for quality here.

But you need a team which knows how to handle data.
Less appropriate when you expect a fully managed service.
