Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

Mailchimp is a simple way to send out mass emails. It is used by our marketing department, who is in charge of sending out marketing and transactional emails to our customers and prospects. We have it integrated with our CRM. Mailchimp does provide some analytics which help us to evaluate the success of our email campaigns.
  • Simple, easy to use platform
  • Drag and drop templates make designing an email a snap
  • Free version is limited with number of contacts and audiences. (It is free, after all.)
  • Free version requires Mailchimp footer
  • Our employees appreciate being informed about the company events and happenings
  • Our email campaigns help to drive traffic to our website, so increased website traffic
Basically, I logged in to Mailchimp and went right to work creating an email campaign to send out. I had zero training and found the product intuitive enough to work though on my own. So, right from the start, I found Mailchimp to be very user friendly. I have learned numerous trick and shortcuts along the way and still generally find the platform to be very intuitive.
We strictly use Mailchimp for e-mail marketing. It is integrated with our CRM (HubSpot), which is our marketing control center. We have found HubSpot to be more robust with options, which is why we don't use Mailchimp as our all-in-one marketing platform.
We have successfully created email campaigns for customers at different places in their buying journey. Mailchimp has helped us to serve up relevant content to those potential customers and clients. Using the various templates has made creating professional looking emails much less time consuming so we can concentrate on including valuable, relevant content.
Mailchimp is good for organizations looking to send mass emails or drip campaigns. There are several pricing tiers to suit your needs, so even companies with a sizable number of contacts could benefit from using Mailchimp. I like that you can segment the audience by using various tags so that you can send relevant messages to your audience. As stated earlier, my experience is in the free version. We are currently almost to the maximum number of contacts, so we'll need to make a decision in the near future of how to proceed.
