Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Endpoint Central

We use ManageEngine for device management and reporting on our macOS, Windows, and Windows server devices. We look to it force encryption, and secure our environment.

Pros

  • Supports a wide range of devices.
  • Has lots of services
  • Provides quick chat support.

Cons

  • Okta User Driven Enrollment
  • Streamline groups/offices and targets in MDM
  • More training and better chat support.
  • I get what I pay for I guess.
  • The UI and settings are a hot mess from my experience and take me time to remember where things are each time, wasting my time.
It is not intuitive, and not interconnective between products.
I came into the company while the already had ManageEngine Endpoint Central. Frankly, I have attempted to switch our company to a different platform due to its confusing interface, lack of quality support when I have connected support, and lack of features then I have used in other platforms. However on the plus side, this product is cheaper. I guess I would rather my company pay me more to figure out how to get the most out of this platform then spend more money on a more polished tool in my opinion.

Do you think ManageEngine Endpoint Central delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

No

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy ManageEngine Endpoint Central again?

No

I feel Endpoint Central is clunky and hard to Navigate. I have to build a script in one area. Then in a completely different area I have to create a group. Then from a different area I have to create a configuration for that group. But then If I have a mdm profile to match with that group, I have to create a different group in a different location of the platform. Then I have to create the profile, but I dont assign the profile to the group. I assign the group to the profile, the different group then the configuration is assigned to, even though those two elements are going to the same set of endpoints. Then when I get confused on where to go, or what is where, the chat support doesnt seem to understand what I am asking either.
