Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Endpoint Central
We use Endpoint Central to handle inventory and patch management of our workstations, monitoring endpoint health such as disk usage, memory usage, and processor usage, as well as using the remote control capabilities for helpdesk support tasks.
The endpoint health checks are extremely helpful for gauging which machines need to be upgraded or replaced in the future, as well as for sizing replacement hardware based on the needs of the user and the real-world software requirements.
Patch management, along with other patch management tools, helps us make sure we are staying on top of vulnerabilities as they arise, as well as maintaining an inventory of software and other applications as they are used in our organization.

Pros
- Endpoint health statistics (CPU, Memory, and disk usage)
- Software inventory management (installs and uninstalls etc)
- grouping systems by categories such as OS version or vulnerabilities
- Monitoring warranty status
- Patch management
- Inventory management
Cons
- The remote CLI/PowerShell interfaces should support tab completion and command history like the real-world versions
- Remote control could work better
- Having a standalone application, even if just a Java app or something for the remote control/remote command line versus running it out of a web browser
- better management of inventory
- Easier to assess the users' needs when it comes to upgrading systems
- Easier to make sure we are meeting the requirements of the various users and departments without going overboard and buying systems that are much more powerful (and therefore more expensive) than is needed for a given use
Kaseya's system of handling patch management was not as intuitive as Endpoint Central, however in some respects it was easier to set up.
Kaseya VSA and ConnectWise are also more geared towards managed service providers that handle multiple organizations versus a single company's IT department, which Endpoint Central seems more designed for.
Intune, while helpful for machine management, does not have the level of overall endpoint management and inventory management and is better used alongside another endpoint management tool.
