Happy to Give This Review for One of My Favorite Collaboration Tools
Overall Satisfaction with Markup.io
Sharing pre-approved work with clients can be a risky endeavor. We use Markup.io to minimize the risk on our end. It allows us to share videos and graphics with clients in a space where they can share feedback intuitively and easily. We can track views and comments more easily and this makes the creative process so much better than email. We started using it in the middle of a project and I can't describe how much easily we were able to collate and address corrections.
Pros
- easy to use and appealing user interface
- Affordable packages
- Organized interface
Cons
- Voice suggestions are useful for people who don't want to type
- You don't always see who has viewed the file
- Downloadable comments would be a good addition
- Better creative collaboration=increased client satisfaction
- Faster approval process= faster project closure
- Better and more complete annotations= increased client satisfaction
- Figma, monday.com, Google Drive and WeTransfer
Figma: Harder to use, steeper learning curve
monday.com: still use this and share items occasionally here but more in a back up, repository way. It was hard for clients to find the files
Google Drive: not everyone uses Google and sometimes, we had difficulty with Microsoft users
WeTransfer: too ephemeral, clients responsible for sending comments via email, gives them too much work which ultimately makes the process harder
