Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Office 365

Office 365 is used across the entire orgainization which is roughly 500 people. The problem is solves is having everyone on the same platform since we have historically been an MS shop. We are in the cloud so it is easier to maintain than if we had a on prem version.
  • Easy to access via single sign on
  • Familiarity with MS office leads to easy adoption
  • Document sharing and check ins are a plus
  • SharePoint sites are limited in what you can do and hard to understand
  • New document automatically checks out
  • Excel online version is not great, you should open in Excel
  • Gets everyone using same platform
  • Cloud is easy to use, no on prem
  • Always used MS
Confluence is much easier to use and is less clunky than MS. Specifically comparing Confluence to SharePoint, the main advantage SP has is the ability to check in docs, you can't do this as well in Confluence. The SP sites are tough to admin and figure out where all the backend information lives.
Good as an enterprise tool for a small, medium or large company. Allows everyone to be on the same page and share docs, excel sheets and other work related items. Not great as an IT tool since the partner product is TFS, which is tough to use and not up to par with JIRA.
