Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Office 365
Office 365 is used across our entire organization. I use Outlook for email and scheduling; Teams for meetings and conversations; and the original Office suite of products. It makes collaborating easier and works across a wide variety of operating systems. It has also helped to consolidate the different versions and variety of software that were being used by different teams.
- Office 365 lets us share documents on the cloud and lets us keep a most recent version of a file without having multiple files to keep track of.
- Office 365 Outlook has given us an updated email platform with modern functionality.
- Teams has enabled us to move into the world of video conferencing–it's great to be able to see the people you are speaking with!
- In Teams it would be nice if it were more apparent who was in a multi-person chat group.
- In the Outlook calendar there are too many steps to find out who was invited to a meeting.
- At least on the Mac version of Excel the navigation scroll bars are finicky and hard to find.
- There are no longer separate teams buying separate copies of software.
- We have been able to collaborate easier and save time (saving time=saving money!)
- We have been able to get rid of redundant services where Office 365 fills the gaps.
The only other software I have used similar to Office 365 is G Suite (Google docs, sheets, hangouts, etc.). Hangouts is buggy and does not compare to Teams at all. Teams is superior. The other apps are comparable, but there are no native applications to install and if they are available to use offline I never figured it out. That isn't good for productivity 100% of the time.
