Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power BI

Microsoft Power BI is excellent at taking large forms of data and breaking it down into digestible formats for people all around the business. It makes it super clear what's working and what can be looked at in order to improve. It's also so easy to create quality dashboards with clear data.

Pros

  • It is great at taking in large amounts of data and housing it all.
  • Microsoft Power BI is so user friendly and it's dashboards are very easy on the eye.
  • The ease of sharing dashboards makes it great for use across a large company.

Cons

  • We've had issues on the team previously where it would crash the odd team for a team member.
  • While there are many built-in visuals, from some visuals customisation options are limited. More control over visual elements would be welcomed for me and my team.
  • We've found that creating pixel-perfect reports can be difficult. More precise layout and formatting tools would be ideal for my team.
  • Tracking our inventory through power BI reporting has allowed our stock management to flourish.
  • Improved decision making around promotions and discounts have allowed us to be smarter in our approach.
  • Better customer insight displayed clearly has been a gamechanger.
I gave this rating as I feel company large or small would benefit from the use of Microsoft Power BI. It's reporting, data management and data visualisation would help support the growth of any company big or small. I highly recommend other companies to consider introducing it if they aren't using it already.

We are a retail company and Microsoft Power BI has been a crucial element of our reporting. We use it to track footfall, daily sales, web traffic, conversion, AOV, discount analysis. It's fantastic and doing these things. The ability to create interactive dashboards with this data has proven so helpful to our company.
