Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams
We evaluated and selected, trained, and rolled out Microsoft Teams as the corporate-wide collaboration platform. It is used by teams and departments for chat, audio and video conferencing, scheduled and ad-hoc meetings with colleagues, customers, and colleagues, globally. We were somewhat lucky as we rolled out the platform prior to the 2020 pandemic. MS Teams has helped us to be as productive remotely as we were in the office.
Pros
- Real-time collaboration on documents and files.
- Ability to include others (non-Microsoft Teams users).
- Ease of ad-hoc as well as schedule multimedia conferencing.
- Integration with O365 and other applications.
- Speed of development and responsiveness to market needs.
- High service availability and HD quality video and audio conferencing.
- Global availability of the services.
Cons
- Direct conferencing with SIP and H.323 rooms such as WebEx. Although with recent announcements, sounds like both vendors are already on their way.
- More integration with 3rd. party applications; e.g., Salesforce.
- Pricing on their E3 and E5 bundles.
- Has proven its value during 2020 pandemic.
