Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

We use Microsoft Teams daily to communicate organization wide. The product allows us to communicate as well as using it for data and storage. We use it for reporting and tracking different forms of data using Power BI. It works great for all members of our organization and we use it for a wide range of functionalities. Without Microsoft Teams we would not be able to communicate seamlessly.

Pros

  • Good customer support
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to implement

Cons

  • Power BI issues
  • Notification management
  • Integration capabilities
  • Cross organization communication
  • Tracking of different data points
  • Boosting productivity
  • Cutting costs
Microsoft Teams is very easy to use. Across our organization we have never had issues with functionality. It's used daily by hundreds of people and we very rarely run into any issues. When we do have issues Microsoft Teams is quick to respond and rectify it. The interface can be overwhelming and cluttered for new or non-technical users. Some functionalities are hidden or difficult to locate, requiring multiple clicks for simple tasks.
  • Skype for Business / Lync (discontinued)
Microsoft Teams is Microsoft's modern replacement for Skype for Business, offering significantly enhanced, integrated collaboration beyond Skype's core chat and calling with deep integration into the Microsoft 365 suite, persistent chat channels, advanced meeting features (like background blur, live captions, larger participant limits), and extensive third-party app support, making it a more robust hub for teamwork, while Skype for Business is largely phased out for new users and focuses on simpler communication.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

Microsoft Teams would work great for any organization that has many different teams completing widely different tasks. We are a large organization and we have many different teams and sectors some of which never communicate. Groups across campus can use Microsoft Teams for whatever they want and requires basically no training. Microsoft Teams is not used to present. We use Microsoft Office for anything document related.
