Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it in our squad to brainstorm and share ideas. For us, we use it primarily to visualize complex concepts and discuss about them.
  • Visualizing concepts.
  • Flexibility — we can also spin up a simple Kanban board if needed.
  • Collaborative discussions.
  • Editing the board can be more intuitive. We still have to think about the color, size of a shape which can get in the way of just writing down the idea.
  • Improved team productivity.
Overall, it is mostly quite intuitive to use Miro. Super awesome that their iPad app also has support for the Apple Pencil. The font sizing and zooming can do with an improvement though as it's easy to accidentally create diagrams at 50% zoom with 128 font size.
It integrates into our single sign-on system easily making signing in for everyone in the team seamless. As long as we are logged in to our company email, we can use Miro and access all other relevant boards in our wider organization too. This makes it very easy to onboard new team members.
We are able to work remotely better. We have team members in different locations around the world and it is easy to have a real-time online call and collaborate directly in the Miro board. This has allowed us to very easily work on different projects despite being a distributed team.

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It is good for collaborative discussions as everyone can update the Miro board in real time. The inbuilt voting features also help with brainstorming or design sprints. It is also flexible enough for us to create a simple kanban board (or any other thing, roadmap, etc.) on the same board, allowing us to have everything in one single place. It's not so good for individual brainstorming or as a thinking tool as you are confronted with having to make more decisions on what an element should look like. It's easy to lose your thought train as you decide whether the circle should be green or yellow, or what size it should be, etc.
