Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Miro as a primary training and collaboration tool when operating inside client companies.

Pros and Cons

Pros

It allows participants to externalise thoughts in real-time.
It allows participants to co-create new solutions.
It allows participants to cluster research data and find patterns.

Cons

We'd love to see Miro be integrated into Zoom break-out rooms.

Return on Investment

Improved productivity.
Ability to provide services in a virtual environment (during the lockdown and a pandemic).

I found Miro easy to run alongside Zoom and Hopin, for example, which is great. I could not figure out how to run a video meeting from within Miro AND do breakout rooms allowing breakout room participants to also work in Miro at the same time. So running Zoom and Miro in parallel seemed to work best for breakout room work.

Collaboration

Miro has been a boon for my collaboration work with teams while we have all been working remotely and continue to do so!

Likelihood to Recommend

Miro is well suited to online collaboration and ideation - I love it for all design thinking work. I find it less appropriate for off-the-cuff brainstorming.
