Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use a Consultant license if we require Miro for a project. This is perfect both in terms of features (more than sufficient to cover client workshops) as well as in terms of flexibility, as we are able to put the subscription on hold in case we do not have a project for which we need Miro. As a consequence of the pandemic, a lot of our clients have requested (and are still requesting) virtual workshops - which is such an easy feat with Miro. Although physical workshops are still preferred by most clients, virtual workshops with Miro are easier to prepare as you do not require to print out any materials and, hence, don't have the - often last-minute - hassle of sorting everything out.
  • Collaborative features.
  • Integrations with other tools.
  • Security (our current client does not allow Miro).
  • Improved lock vs unlock functionality.
  • Improved folder structure for managing boards.
  • Improved workshop quality.
  • Reduced time to prepare workshops.
  • Ability to easily gather input from multiple stakeholders.
It was very easy to set up as well as give access to the required people. Also very intuitive so you as well as your stakeholders will be able to get started in no time. The only downside was the voting feature as it was a bit more difficult to use due to minor bugs/inconsistencies.
Regarding the integrations, most are already made available upfront. However, we did not use a lot of them as we use Miro on an ad hoc basis (i.e., no integrations with Confluence, JIRA, and the like). Yet, the basic integrations and plug-ins are well done (e.g., icon library, etc.).
The virtual workshops greatly improved.

Works well for Virtual workshops - this has been a lifesaver during (and will be after) the pandemic as it allows for a great collaborative - yet remote - approach. Also works well for team meetings where you want to easily capture responses. I like to use it when several people provide input upfront to a meeting while being able to easily aggregate the outcome beforehand.
