Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We love Miro at AIA. We've tried some other tools for a bit but everyone wanted to come back to Miro and so we did. We love how accessible it is, how easy to use, how visually appealing, but most of all, we love how it fosters collaboration & alignment in real-time over any number of locations & timezones. Miro is the only visual facilitation & collaboration tool for us!

Pros

  • Accessible - a single short URL is all anybody needs to be getting on the same page in seconds.
  • Easy to use - Intuitive controls, meaningful icons, and things that just work mean new users are using it in less than a minute.
  • Visually appealing - a sleek interface and the ability to easily find and add images, animations, arrange & customise the look of components all make it look great.
  • Fosters collaboration & alignment - allowing everybody to visualise & create together is a powerful way to create everyone being on the same page.

Cons

  • Would love finer grain control over the Highlight Changes (pink highlighting) functionality, turning it on or off at an account level for example, or turning it off permanently for a board.
  • Would love it if some of the templates (like the Agile Wall of Work) were editable not just scalable.
  • Please allow customers to specify a local Data Center for their instance to be hosted in thereby meeting data sovereignty regulatory requirements.
  • Is allowing us to work with our C-suite to do quarterly planning & alignment of strategic prioritization at the enterprise level while all fully remote.
We had a major hurdle with implementing Miro in our org b/c we couldn't specify a local Data Center for our instance to be hosted in thereby meeting our data sovereignty regulatory requirements.

Easier to use and a better result.
Super useful for - Distributed & Remote teams, virtual facilitation events, training course activities, and linking to JIRA! Not so useful for - quickly doing retros like Ideaboardz.
