Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it to work collaboratively with our clients. It enables us to create a "sitting together in a room and working on whiteboards/brown paper" type of situation which was a great help, especially during the Covid lockdown. We are currently working on rolling out Miro for our whole company based on the positive experience we made during our testing.

Pros

  • Help brainstorm.
  • Work collaboratively.
  • Encourage broad contribution.

Cons

  • The whole creating and aligning of shapes process is very tiresome and could be improved.
  • Especially working with older / less tech-savvy people Miro seems to be not that intuitive.
  • Less need to travel.
  • Ability to serve our clients well even during lockdown.
  • Neg. we needed some time to initially understand Miro and how to work with it.
Creating more elaborate working sheets based on different shapes and tables should be improved It is not possible to go back (undo something) that someone else (e.g. a less versed user) made. This can lead to issues when working with less-versed users.
We had to do "How to use Miro" lessons with every client before being able to use it in the actual meetings because, without it, they were not able to contribute anything. Plus, we had issues in the usage depending on the browser used. This is not good. Because sometimes employees of companies cannot decide on what browser to use.
We were able to successfully work with our client on a strategy project over the time span of more than 6 months without having to meet in person. This was also due to Miro.
