Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used in many different departments at TomTom. We use it as a tool to make it easy to do whiteboarding while people work remotely. We also use it for the creation of diagrams and some people even use it for making slides and mindmaps. Overall it is relatively intuitive and easy to use.

Pros

  • Intuitive User Interface
  • Voting on Stickies
  • White Board Substitute

Cons

  • Fine alignment or lay outing is hard.
  • Managing lots of different boards is difficult.
  • Improved collaboration
  • Easier Remote Working
  • Less Need to Come to an Office.
Overall Miro seems pretty well made. Largely it just works. I find complicated sharing or managing lots of boards a bit harder than it should be.
Miro makes it easier to whiteboard across remote locations. It allows online brainstorming sessions to take place.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Trello is more of a Kanban tool. It can be used for group brainstorming and is quite good, but it has a different focus.
Miro is a great tool if you are looking for a whiteboard but you can't use one because you are both in different locations or remote. It works quite well for making diagrams or simple mind maps. It is not great as a PowerPoint substitute though this is possible. Personally I almost 100% use it as a shared whiteboard.
