Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I would like to single out a specific time I used Miro: Miro was used as the main teaching and collaboration tool on an online course I recently attended. The attendees came from HE institutions across the UK. Miro was used to both deliver the teaching content and to enable us to work collectively on group exercises during the online sessions and individually on our own course work between sessions. For all of these purposes, Miro was excellent and importantly kept all work in one place on one large board which made it extremely accessible. The rich tools available to use on a Miro board and being able to see other people creating simultaneously were excellent, seamless, and without lag. The course was good but Miro made the online course excellent.
  • Being able to see the presence of other people working on the same board.
  • The richness of the tools available to work on a board.
  • The ability of a facilitator to draw together a dispersed group working on a board to one place on the board.
  • The navigation tools enable movement with ease around very large spaces on boards.
  • The ability to lock content on a board so that other users can view but not change it.
  • The ability to export a Miro board's content.
  • Being an Microsoft Teams app enables Teams to add rich communication around Miro.
  • I don't know if you can @mention people on a Miro board to draw their attention to specific content. If it doesn't that would be very useful.
  • Awareness of Miro needs to grow in my organization and I am determined to drive its adoption. One significant thing which will help me do that is its integration with Microsoft Teams. For this reason alone it will provide a good return on investment.
I only have experience of its use within Microsoft Teams. In this context, it is excellent and enables rich and persistent communication to take place around Miro.
Please see the example I have used in an earlier question.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

The Whiteboard in Microsoft Teams is not mature enough yet, Miro is mature and sophisticated in comparison. The fact that Miro can be used as an app within MS Teams means that Microsoft has a great deal of work to do to better Miro.
