Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I am an architecture student at Cal Poly. We use Miro consistently, for pinups and reviews, especially during online studio classes. We use many of the features, but especially uploading files, post-its, and annotations.

Pros

  • ability to arrange the board how you see fit
  • annotating on the board with the pen tool
  • add text boxes to add notes

Cons

  • resolution is very low on busy boards
  • some files don't upload correctly
  • slowness of boards when there are many people
  • improved online reviews
  • improved feedback online
  • the ability to view other people's studio work
It was definitely a learning curve at first. Some of the buttons are hard to find and the navigation isn't always intuitive. However, once everyone learned how to upload files and annotate, it was easier.
Miro is great for integrating into many different classes and for many purposes: brainstorming, presentations, and archiving.
During online school, Miro was a lifesaver for being able to collaborate with professors and students from all over the country. Miro allowed us to feel closer as a studio and closer to actually pinning up on a wall.

Yes

Miro is less glitchy with many people and larger files. The buttons on Miro are harder to find, but once we learned them it was better.
