Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As part of my research interests, I generally deal with theoretical, historical, and philosophical topics that are hard to explain only with sentences. I use Miro to create charts to make the concepts, names, and their relations more concrete and understandable both in my doctoral research and teaching experience in the class.
  • Mapping
  • Collaboration
  • Integration
  • I would like to see more flexibility in creating charts.
  • I would like to see more templates in creating charts.
  • I would like to see a way to connect the connections itself with another line.
  • More productivity in collaborative works
  • Time management
  • Clarity to explain something to outsider
I use the Miro for mapping properties and collaborative discussion in the class. It is very useful for basic tasks where the connections and implications are clear. But when it comes to complex connections, I found it restrictive in terms of the organization possibilities within the tools it provides to the user.
In terms of integration, I did not have any problems in my experience with Miro. This was partly because I was not using very complicated tasks. I am only using it for the integration of students on the topics that we are discussing and trying to articulate diverse approaches within a limited time.
In terms of collaboration, it was useful enough for me since the students were able to share their opinion on a shared whiteboard in the class. Especially, in the middle of pandemics, it was a unique opportunity to have such a platform where we can collaborate with students and colleagues productively.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It is very useful for creating concept maps in a short time with rigorous and clear connections. Especially, when the task is collaborative, Miro saves time for everyone in the group. But when it comes to creating more detailed maps where the number of connections is high, its flexibility is not enough for such a task.
