Currently we only use it as standalone, it is not integrated to any system in our company. Hence can't feedback on this question.
Yes, it is very useful to engage remote workers. Our agile squads use it for Retrospective and many other agile ceremonies. We also use Miro for training

I selected Miro because it provides a variety of templates and more features than the rest. However, it is slower than the rest.
We use Miro for our Big Room Planning where we required many people to update a single board. But it also posts a challenge when 100 people access the board concurrently it become very slow
