Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it to visualize the work required for sprints. We plan out what our current system is doing and how we plan on refactoring the system. We also use it for an idea board so that everyone can get involved in writing and exploring new ideas. This has helped our innovation.

Pros

  • Easy to visualise the current system

Cons

  • I think you can get lost in the large document. For example, you can easily lose track of diagrams that are at the top right of the document when you are at the bottom left.
  • After revisiting when changes have been made, it can be confusing to see the changes that were made since the last visit
  • Be good to turn off people's mice. I don't always need to see what they are doing and it can be distracting
  • Easier planning meetings for sprints

  • Improve communication with multiple teams
Easy to introduce it to our projects. Mainly use it at the start of projects where we are still in the planning stage. It can also be useful for rounding off the projects to describe how the new system works to multiple teams in the business which can reduce time
Miro has a very easy user interface which makes the user experience great. Anyone can pick up this tool and use it without any training. The pre-built diagrams are also useful and can save time. These diagrams can be things like class diagrams, flow diagrams, and general sticky notes.
When working from home began, the main problem we faced was the lack of a whiteboard to promote innovation and collaboration. This was where Miro was perfectly placed to step in. It is actually better than a whiteboard as multiple people can contribute at once and you can see who wrote what.

I've only used Miro.
Good to demonize to the business how the processes work in different departments. Good to demonstrate new ideas and create flow diagrams to show how the user would use the system. Good for encouraging collaboration with all staff as anyone can contribute to the board. Good use of different premade diagrams
