Overall Satisfaction with Miro

The chance in social contact due to the changing global situation made it necessary to find a substitute for the traditional classroom in a visual field of study. My first experience with miro happened in order to bridge this void. The platform offered a possibility to share graphical work and ideas and receive feedback on that same board. Now the situation returned to a more traditional contact form of education but miro remained in our toolbox. The endless board made it easier to track progress through a project and reduces the need to bring every item to every class. At the end of the project runtime, the miro board was a mindmap giving a great visualization of the development process.
  • Easy collaboration on different boards
  • Endless grid size makes it great for fast idea dumping as well as structured presentation
  • In miro I never lose time searching for tools
  • Text and picture formatting is seamless
  • Locking elements is a small feature but helps me greatly while working
  • Further expansion of supported file formats such as GIF would be nice
  • When dropping in an image it would be nice to get a prompt for the size before inserting
  • Great way to stay organized with creations over a longer time span
  • Possibility for transparent and instant remote feedback
  • Reduced need for transporting physical items at early stage presentations
In the classroom setting, we had our own boards, it would be nice to have a parent-children type of hierarchy.
It is easy to join boards shared via a link. being able to integrate miro in a video conference calls or work platforms would be a nice feature
Miro makes it really easy to work together from a remote location. Being able to add notes and hide others' notes when working is great for fast idea sharing, this can be even faster than normal collaboration due to the easy way of sharing digital images without the need for projection. I would keep using Miro even when working in the same room. Groups of 50 still worked great. Groups of 300 could give some problems while voting or simultaneous editing.

  • Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite)
Miro gave a unique collaborative method for visual media and free workflow. other mainstream collaborative platforms like that of Microsoft and google always feel very rigid and with a single person in charge of the document. This greatly reduced the amount of time wasted on platform management in Miro
Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
I recommend miro for people who work in a field with a lot of need for visual presentation and graphical collaboration. This was very useful for our classroom setting so I would love to see miro become a household name in classrooms at younger ages. For simple text collaboration or projects with limited brainstorming time, I don't think miro is the best tool.
