Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro as part of a television writers room. We use it to break down the plot points of each episode, to track all episodes across the season, and to track our season's timelines. This is our replacement for in-person whiteboards when we're all meeting on Zoom rather than in person.

Pros

  • Ability to create multi-colored index cards
  • Ability to duplicate boards and create templates
  • Ability to copy and paste from one board to another

Cons

  • Would be great to be able to take the contents of a board and create a Word document or similar from the text contained within
  • Would be great to more easily resize several cards to a uniform size simultaneously.
  • Improved ability to quickly adjust the text on cards as opposed to real board/index cards
  • More environmentally friendly than a real board and index cards
This has been covered in previous categories. It has worked very well for us overall. While there will always be ways that working digitally lacks the convenience of doing our work in person, it has made the transition much easier for us across the board and we're happy to have it.
We had hard copies of early whiteboards that were very easy to transfer to the program.
We are all in various locations and it has helped us all be able to work as a cohesive unit while apart.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

For the most part, we've found Miro very helpful in allowing us to replicate our in-person whiteboards as we're breaking down stories for our TV season. There are some minor things, predominantly aesthetically, that is less convenient to easily adjust, but overall we've been happy to find out how intuitive and user-friendly the software is.
