Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I was introduced to Miro during the pandemic and it was life-changing! As a designer, I frequently use it for brainstorming ideas, customer journey mapping, creating personas, and so on at all stages of design - ideation, development, useability testing, launching and the cycle repeats! It's like a whiteboard to me which is terrific as I am a visual person and that allows me to do some quick and casual notes and doodling during ideation. It has a lot of built-in features and I find the collaboration tool particularly useful where I can walk them through the projects, then they can leave their feedback instantly using the sticky notes. It also offers a lot of templates for multiple occasions like flowcharts, mindmap, service blueprints, etc. My colleagues handle the more business tasks like using the pre-made templates for meeting agendas or Gantt Chart to track the project's progress because they are just so convenient.
  • Collaboration tool - participate in sessions and leave comments
  • Pre-made templates - convenient, also get some ideas on how to start
  • Layers? Like Figma
I personally think that it's intuitive and simple enough. Miro is something that has a lot of built-in features which is convenient but if they weren't executed properly, for example, a complicated user interface will confuse a lot of users and they might not know where exactly to find that specific tool to perform their tasks. While the Miro board is clean and does not distract the users from having too many buttons
I can use the Meeting feature on the Miro board as an example. When I was a first-time user, it informed me how to run a structured meeting by giving me multiple tips which I followed. It then walked me through step-by-step what to do next which was to pick a frame where my colleagues could vote
During the pandemic, I once walked my colleagues (about 40 of them) through the project using the Miro board. I remember I used one of the templates where my colleagues could leave their thoughts and vote for their preferred ideas right away. Also, how we could see everyone's cursor moving with their names was fascinating :D

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Lucidchart is extremely easy to use as it has limited tools that give the most basic functions but when it comes to collaborating, it doesn't do as much as Miro
Miro is perfect for designers to do some quick notes on Miro, especially for brainstorming as it mimics how I would scribble each idea on a sticky note, but I would still create some proper presentations on software like Adobe Photoshop which I have more control of. It is great for collaboration during brainstorming too, where everyone can be involved in the activity and give ideas and feedback immediately. Then maybe have a break-out session too.
