Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for the organization of our research and education projects. In the future, we also plan to use it for the interactive education of students. It pretty much functions as the digital version of a whiteboard on a wall. People paste screenshots, article excerpts, and such on the wall and with the help of the connectors, it is very easy to show connections.
  • Organization
  • Visualisation
  • Collaboration
  • Creative work
  • The web-app and the Windows app are rather resource-intensive to use
  • Intuitivity of text boxes
  • The differentiation between Team and User account is sometimes hard
  • Good Collaboration
  • Efficient Documentation of creative processes
  • Fun to use
The implementation process of Miro was very simple, as I just downloaded it, installed it, and created an account. The upgrade to an educator license (as I am a higher ed educator) was said to take up to ten days, but not even took an hour. A very smooth process in total.
Works well with a projector and for screen share. Yet still have to check the integration with other services.
We use it more as a wireless entry pad for what we see on the projector but it also has great potential for the organization of ideas - just like a message/whiteboard. Nevertheless, it also works well in remote and asynchronous settings. It is also great that the app is available on many devices.

Microsoft Teams, Zoom, PTV Visum, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
GOOD: Whiteboard for cooperation, especially in larger teams. Works well remotely but also if all are in the same room and watch the board over a projector. working with a stylus provides a great user experience on my surface go 3. BAD: Performance on slower devices is not ideal (both via app and browser)

Using Miro

  • Remote collaboration
  • Organization of project
  • Documentation of meetings
  • works well for drawing on maps
  • Remote and asynchronus collaboration
The conditions for educators are great and the product is functioning very well. Therefore I see a lot of usage in the future.

Using Miro

In general it is very usable but some features I find confusing. There is, for example, a wide range of text box options which all have different features.
