Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro in a variety of ways. Most of the time, we use it for collaboration boards across meetings where people can add their own stickies and compile notes from the meeting. We also use it for reporting and planning purposes, a centralized place to put everything that is easy to read and access for the whole team.

Pros

  • It allows uploading of documents and images from other platforms.
  • It allows multiple users to update a board at the same time.
  • No need to save as it all saves automatically.
  • You can move everyone within the board to where you are if needed.

Cons

  • The scrolling is a bit of a pain and not easy to do on bigger boards.
  • I wish you could assign colors to each of the members for their notes/stickies.
  • Often uploads are blurry.
  • Smoother transition in calls.
  • Easy to access reporting across programs.
  • Clean and consistent formatting.
Miro can be daunting with the blank boards and can turn into chaos quickly. If someone on the team sets up the framework of the board before sharing it broadly, it will make the whole team's collaboration go a lot smoother.
Miro is pretty easy to integrate into different workflows. I don't think it replaces many platforms (like Box etc.) because I don't think it is a good store of detailed information, but it is a great supplement and easy to use and learn for the team.
Everyone can add to the board in real-time together, with no limitations on people. This helps everyone feel very involved. It also really helps with version control as there is no saving or saving of different versions, which is clutch for some shared boards. Additionally, you can see who is on the board and wherein the board they are, which helps to know who is giving what ideas.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is good for remote working partners or partners across locations to collaborate on a whiteboard or reporting that spans a lot of different programs/campaigns/reports. It helps alleviate the need to open multiple files or to take additional notes in word or by hand. It would not be helpful, in my opinion, for projects that are more one-person projects or to save working files for a future date.
