Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to collaborate and organize things like listening sessions, interviews, and other qualitative datasets. It is great for distilling outputs, especially when we have an in-person meeting that needs to have organized outputs available virtually. We had a sticky storm. We were able to use a plug-in to generate those stickies into a digital version with pretty decent handwriting-reading by the plug-in. This saved us a lot of time for us.

Pros

  • Translating physical stickies into virtual ones.
  • Live collaboration with no lag-time.
  • The ability to have plug-ins.

Cons

  • Font sizing is weird depending on the zoom level. A 16px is not always 16px.
  • Font choices. I can change fonts for groups but not individually in stickies?
  • Not sure when to use the other features.
  • Documentation of meeting outputs.
  • Having an easily editable document.
  • Organizing thoughts for complex topics.
Have not integrated with other products.
It lets us collaborate more easily and helps us to have both in-person and virtual meetings connect together to have a hybrid style.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Large collaborative meetings are a great time to use Miro. It's easy to use, so it doesn't take much to get started or make edits. It's less useful when things are very messy. As a designer, I try to use aligning and sizing, but sometimes it's just all over the place, which makes it hard to concentrate on the task at hand. I appreciate the flexibility, though. Better than snapping to a grid, but is that an available option? I don't know.
