Overall Satisfaction with Miro

The team I am apart of use Miro for our weekly management meeting and stores all of the essential information needed for our team i.e. week planner, consultant load, key performance indicators, action plan, sales funnel, case studies, general communication etc. The board we have created is personalised to our team and acts as a central Hub used by all on a daily basis.

Pros

  • Easy to personalise
  • Very interactive
  • Allows the creation of excellent visual management
  • Easy to use

Cons

  • Kanban system on Miro is "clunky". I use Trello instead for action tracking rather than Miro as the functionality of Trello is smoother and more aesthetic
  • Integrated excel spreadsheets into Miro. I imagine this would be difficult, but we currently have links that lead to excel spreadsheet. It would be good if you could simply expand the spreadsheet attached to the frame
  • Link data to Miro. I am not sure if this is a function of Miro as i have not used it, however i think linking data sources to graphs so that it automatically updates would be handy
  • Simplicity in organising the team
  • Allowing digital project Mission Control Rooms to be created for project management
  • It makes team alignment more streamlined
I had never used a software like Miro before so it took some time to get used to the functionality of the software, however I am comfortable using it now.
It took me a couple of hours to get used to. Where I found it difficult was the functionality of the "Frames"
As mentioned previosuly, it is the central Hub for organisation and alignment for my team. All board members use it daily and it has became a critical part of our team.

For action planning, Trello is far superior to Miro. The functionality and slickness of the website makes me favour Trello. On my Miro dashboard i have a link that leads me to Trello, however it would be beneficial if Miro had a similar way of tracking actions in kanban
Miro is an excellent tool for creating a Hub for your team. It is more difficult to integrate graphs into whiteboards
