Virtual Design Collaboration
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro as a digital whiteboard for architectural projects. It can be used as early as the original pursuit of a competition, all the way through final drawings and renderings. In most cases, a single Miro board operates as the project's scratch space and timeline, representing the development of the entire project. We also have used Miro for user engagement sessions with potential occupants for a space, such as teachers or employees, to provide feedback and partake in exercises.
Pros
- Quick Setup
- Easy sharing settings
- Ability to insert collateral from various sources
Cons
- Opening up the Miro ecosystem to automation tools like PowerAutomate to create boards based on forms or SharePoint Lists
- Board Health metrics. Allow for a visible indicator when a board has too much content on it and is impeding speed and stability
- Allowed for User Engagement Sessions with Remote Work
- Allowed for Project Teams to be displaced across the country and still work collectively
- Changing tool access for guest accounts has been a headache, constantly having to change our training documentation because tools have shifted from the free to premium side of licensing.
Yes - as discussed in earlier comments. Miro enabled our teams to collaborate remotely on all our design projects.
