Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Miro with my digital product team and partners. We use it for white boarding, bucketing and organizing data, product and data flows, as well as a visual tool for remote collaboration. We use it to illustrate and solve complex healthcare system problems through being able to document, refine, and dig in to problems at multiple levels of detail.

Combines text requirements and information with images or flow diagrams
serves as a real time collaboration space for remote workers and teams
Enables tiered levels of detail definition as you zoom in and out

Integration with other product applications
Spreadsheet integration and display abilities
Ability to work online/offline can be difficult

Return on Investment

Reduced hand off time between partners/teams in the delivery cycle
Improved alignment at all levels of stakeholders to the goals
decreased the number of applications and amount of time needed to find information on a project/product/or capability

Ease of Integration

We have integrated Miro with some products like Teams, and that was an easy process. We have not integrated Miro with our core technology management platforms so I can not speak to those outcomes.

Collaboration

Miro serves as the primary tool for collaboration in the product refinement cycle. It makes it easy to add requirements and diagram out complex problems or flows to help the team get on the same page faster. The tool work well on screen shares and individuals can all log in and contribute at the same time.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is great for virtual team collaboration, visualizing complex flows and problems, as well as sharing ideas across a stakeholder network. As an idea space, from white boarding to early stages of solutions, Miro is the best equipped tool for my product teams.

My team does not use Miro for Agile and Scrum actives due to the complexities in our business. With many teams and partners, we use a specialized tool to manage feature level backlogs, roadmaps, and deployment cycles. With a smaller team or company, Miro may meet those needs.
