Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for a variety of needs - internal and external facing. Our team all has access and the freedom to design whatever meeting frames work for their objective. Individuals use it to organize and prioritize their work, and groups use it for brainstorming sessions, recurring meeting frames, research share outs, and beyond. We organize research and writing projects, we share feedback on new initiatives and venture ideas, we provide updates to leadership for transparency. We don't feel limited with Miro, and they're constantly releasing new tools that benefit their users.
  • Brainstorm Facilitation
  • Concept Organization
  • Allows the facilitator to have control of a virtual meeting
  • Grid locking and guidelines for board organization
  • Intuitive UI
  • Multiple tools in the same platform
  • Allows users to work in real time or asynchronously
  • Highlight or draw with pen in a straight line
  • More sticky note colors
  • Opportunity for anonymity for feedback/suggestion work
  • Improved radical collaboration
  • Improved leader visibility
We use Miro for the majority of our new projects - it's our go to tool for virtual collaboration both in real time and asynchronously. Miro allows us to create frames to organize the different parts of our meeting design and ensure the facilitator can clearly move the contributors through the board as needed. There are multiple tools built into the system that make it easy to create your own meeting design, or start from one of their templates and make it your own.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I've found success using Miro frames for work that requires research, synthesis, brainstorm sessions, more synthesis, and progress of work leading to a final product. Being able to keep all of this work within the same board but in separate frames allows you to see a birds-eye-view of your project and provides a quick visual of progress.

Miro is less appropriate for any type of feedback or suggestion sharing where the users may want to submit anonymously because you can see who adds things like Sticky Notes by clicking on "Info". That tool is great when you do need to see who submitted something, but it's unclear if there is a way to turn that off/block it if you're trying to collect information privately.
