Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use this to do PI Planning, retrospectives, our quarterly strategic planning, among other things. One of the business problems this address is collaboration. Having these located in a central location helps everyone to know where to find the information and review it. The permissions helps the team control who can edit or view the boards.

Pros

  • Permissions, allows teams to control who can view or edit specific boards
  • Templates, this gives the team some ideas for particular uses
  • Access, allows everyone to access the board from anywhere

Cons

  • Would like to see the ability to edit sizing of items. No size customization of cards, just font
  • Better export, would like to be able to export a board out and have each card be a cell for example
  • Easier navigation/help text, would like to see what an error is and why it occurred.
  • improved effectiveness
  • improved collaboration
The biggest impact has been that remote workers are able to view and edit boards in real time. This has allowed them to feel like they are in the same room with the other team members. Also as they are not looking at a video screen of the board, it allows them to keep engaged with the team.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Great for Agile Retrospective, as it allows users to update a board in "real time". PI Planning, with lots of people now remote, it allow everyone to see the board clearly and make updates to that board. Where I don't see it helpful would be in our Daily Scrum meetings. This is because it doesn't pull info from source system into it to make any changes.
