Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In my team, we use Miro for two main cases: creating basic diagrams for technical solutions to share across the organization. Organizing discussions (quarterly planning, brainstorming sessions). The board is prepared in advance, and then it is extended with information during the meeting. We tried to use Miro for organizing retrospective meetings, but it did not work well due to some missing functionality of misusing from our side :) Here are some examples of missing features: The possibility to hide text on notes until everyone is done with their notes. Highlight all notes from one person.

Pros

  • Visual representation of information (diagrams).
  • Information is added easily.
  • Predefined templates.

Cons

  • Navigation through a board is hard to do without a mouse (scaling, moving to another part).
  • Group selection for different items on the board.
  • Navigation between elements from the keyboard.
  • There is no clear understanding of ROI for MIro, to be honest.
It definitively helps with knowledge sharing; the Miro board is used quite often for a kick-off session when a new project is started.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

In general, it fits very well for group discussions as a whiteboard. The problem we have hybrid meetings and some people sit in meeting with laptops (without mice). Using a touchpad for navigation is quite inconvenient.
