Miro, you did it
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
At S&P Global, multiple teams are using Miro. Especially its being majorly used for program increment planning which includes multiple scrum teams. Every feature card is presented in Miro Board and shared with each team member. Risks and blockers are identified and resolved on the Miro Board using ROAM. The team presents iteration level goals. Features broken down into user stories during breakouts are added as sticky notes in Miro Board. Committed and Stretch goals are written and presented. There is a parking lot in Miro board in case any team member has any questions or concerns. They are entertained by RTE. The good thing about Miro is that everything we can see on the run time basis as multiple team members updating on the same and we can see those changes. Sticky notes are a lot easier to add with different color representations. In the end of PI we have confidence vote on the Miro board from each team member on how the PI went and any concerns are mitigated. We are using Miro for our Iteration Retrospective as well. Teams can add their thoughts on what went well and what didn't go well and what can be done for improvement. In the end I would say Miro has made our lives a lot easier and happier at S&P Global.
Pros
- Scrolling though Miro board
- Zooming in and zooming out
- Adding Stickies with multiple colors
- Adjusting Stickies height and width with Miro Guidelines
- Copy paste from one Miro Board to other. That saves a lot of time
Cons
- Well for Miro Board with lot of contents it usually takes lot of time to load. We have whole PI Planning on Miro board with lot of contents and images.
- Sometimes there is confusion on the select tool whether the hand tool is selected or the edit tool and so there are unwanted changes made.
- Ease of use and implementation
- Cross-team collaboration
- Customizable templates
With Miro Whiteboard we are using it for collaboration mainly. So if any issue requires brainstorming, ideas are mapped. An idea map is created sometimes. It is sometimes used for diagraming, complex flows are created easily. At our company, Miro helps our teams to work together on projects. Teams use it to sketch a concept or make a slideshow with people editing at the same time.
