Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I'm working in a remote first tech scale up with colleagues and customers located all across Europe.

As a product manager I have to make sure I collect the right insights to derive my product vision, strategy, excution plan. Having a tool, easy to use for everyone is a MUST.

I have to facilitate discovery workshop, roadmap breakdown session and also document my product with neat diagrams (from architecture diagrams to business-friendly ones).

As a product mamager, I have a lot on my plate and must be efficient in building my facilitation toolkits amd integrating their outcome to other tools

Pros and Cons

Pros

easily share anything and hide what you do not want to share
templates
how fast and easy it is to create any diagrams. Easy to ask anyone to take part in a workshop even if they are not the most digital person
sync collaboration of hundred of user, never ever had performances issues

Cons

It's hard to track modification of board, have a clear history
permissions. I do not understand why I ended up having access to my company's Miro space with my personal free account.
modification of very heavy board can become hectic
clear notification system per board (now it's all notifications in one panel)
"live wireframe": I'd like to be able to run a "wireframes demo", where clikcing on an element brings me to the other one. Or having a way to record boards and ad explainations

Return on Investment

reduced travel cost for about 50 person involved in mapping sessions, face to face events cost...

I can't imagine how a company like mine (scale-up, with 100+ employees) collaborating on various initiatives could even function without a tool like MIRO. It would require face-to-face meetings all the time or having co-localize business/product/engineering teams, which, in our domain, is absolutely not scalable.

Using MIRO in these circumstances is just a business enabler

Less suitable: collaboration with UX designers. They are always reluctant to map flows in Miro as they can't link everything with the actual designs.suitable: large-scale mapping effort.As I joined my current compamy, I started as "replatforming" product manager. reBuilding our company's platform to allow the company to scale. I choose to use the Event Storming methodology and colleagues from all the companys departments and all over the world had to take part of the effort. Face-to-Face sessions were not possible. Miro allowed me to organised those sessions and re-define our company's platform solution

Miro, business enablers for companies with international expansion ambitions
